"Tidal" Acoustic Guitar Specifications
Top Material - Adirondack Spruce Top
Adirondack Spruce, also known as Red Spruce has been used in guitar making for centuries. It is known for its exceptional tonal properties and its strength compared to other soft tone woods, like Redwood or Cedar.
Rosette - G-Carta w/ Figured Koa and Padauk Purfling
This rosette is a Broemmelsiek Guitar's signature design. It is comprised of 8 inlay pieces bordered by Padauk and Koa purfling. The main inlay pieces are micarta from G.L. Hansen and Sons.
Back and Sides Material - Fiddle Back Black Walnut
Walnut is one of my favorite woods both aesthetically and practically. It has beautiful hues of brown, tans, reds and sometimes purples and is an absolute charm to work with.
This set of fiddle back Black Walnut has strong figure that ripples down the back on sides creating movement when the guitar is shifted in the light.
Walnut is a hardwood that creates a beautiful canvas for the Red Spruce top to work its magic for the musician playing the instrument.
Headstock Material - Gabon Ebony
The headstock is a beautiful cut of Gabon Ebony that I purhased from a hand plane maker. He sourced this wood when he was in Gabon in the 1960's.
It is extremely rare old growth wood that has found its home atop this beautiful guitar neck.
End Wedge - G-Carta with Padauk Purfling
The end wedge is an accent piece at the bottom of the body of the guitar.
The end wedge is a very unique accent at the base of the body. The inlay material is G-Carta, a compressed fiber and epoxy material with Padauk wood purfling.
Binding and Purfling - Birdseye Maple Binding and Figured Koa Purfling
The body is bound in Birdseye Maple and the purfling chosen for the top and back is figured Koa. Birdseye Maple is known for its micro knots all over the wood creating the illusion of a bird's eye.
Fretboard and Saddle Material - Pau Ferro (Iron Wood)
Pau Ferro is called Iron Wood for a reason, it is extremely dense and hard! These traits make them for a perfect fit for the bridge and fretboard material.
With natural hues of reddish brown and piercing black grain lines, Iron wood is a very beautiful wood that is unique with every cut!
Heel Cap - Gabon Ebony with G-Carta
The heel cap is made with G-Carta inlaid into Gabon Ebony
Nut and Saddle - Bone
Strings - D'addario Phosphor Bronze Light Guage
